Ingenious Students!
Today as the students were working on their American Revolution Museum Display projects, I noticed that there were two different groups using the internet in a different way!
One group had looked up "How to make a paper boat that floats" and was following along building a boat!
Another group looked up "How to build a paper house" and was also building along with the video!
I'm very impressed with all the creations that are coming together!

Welcome Back!!!
I hope that each of you had a blessed and relaxing break. Now, on to the business of the new year!
This Friday, January 6th the fifth grade will be going on a field trip to San Jose and we really need 4 parent volunteers to go with them. Some of the students mentioned to me before the break that some of you might want to go, but I really need to hear from the parents!
Please e-mail me today or tomorrow if you will be able to attend, it will be first come, first serve basis, so be quick if you want to go!
Book Challenge:
Students will begin our "book challenge" where I challenge them to read more books than the last fifth grade class. The students will be asked to read books of their choice every night!!! When they finish the book they need to get an adult to sign off that they did in fact read the book and then they win compliment cubes for the class!
Let's get reading!!!
