Christmas Party

This year we will be using our compliment cubes celebration as a Christmas Party. We will be making some Christmas crafts, playing some games, and enjoying the season. If you would like to send something with your student, YOU NEED TO SEND ME AN E-MAIL!!!

December 8th 2011

Today we did mass because today was the Immaculate Conception. Then we came back to do reading.We had snack then recess.We did not have science.We had social studies then lunch.We had recess.We came in for read aloud.We did math after that.Then we practiced are song for the Christmas show.Then we packed up and went home.

Homework

Math: Workbook pg. 145-146. MATH TEST TUESDAY!!!

Reading: Personal assignments- some are reading book club books while others are reading their own book.

Social Studies: Finish project for teaching, some students have already presented. So far we have seen great presentations from- Kevin, Jackie, Nico, Zoe, Jesse, Joshua, Reuben, Ryan, Breanne, Matthew, D'Andre

Science: Finish questions

Spanish: Make 10 questions and answers due Monday

Christmas Program Outfits

The students of fifth grade are being asked to wear a darkl color on the bottom and white on the top. They can even wear their school uniform if they have nothing else that meets these requirements. Thank you so much for allowing the students to match in the performance!

Birthday Bash

Here at STM, the policy for birthdays in fifth grade is no parents in the classroom. So we are excited to have you bring by the treats, but unfortunately you will be asked to celebrate with your child outside the classroom.

It soon as though most of the parents are contacting one another to organize the treats- please contact Josie Jung. Thanks for organizing all this!!!

Nine People!  Plus we have some people that will be celebrating their half birthdays from the month of June!  This will be quite the birthday bash!  We will celebrate on December 14th at noon.

Please let me know if you would like to bring something in for the celebration and if you will be able to purchase a birthday book.  The official school rule reads: A family must purchase a book if they want to bring in treats.

(I know one family from December already bought a book, thanks!)

Today we had Olive the storyteller. Then, we had snack and recess. After, we had science. Then, we had social studies and worked on our projects. Then, we had lunch and recess. Then, it was time for read aloud. After, we played each others math board games. Finally we packed up and played Mafia.
