3. lanky: tall and thin
4. placid: calm

6. contemptuous: arrogant or haughty
7. maintain: continue
8. incomprehensible: impossible to understand
9. glum: unhappy
10. dispute: argue about

We will be practicing these words at school and the students will be tested on them on Thursday.
